Mong

The primate Mong of Dabbadon IV are a reclusive race that live deep in its forests, building cities from the giant fungus found there. They are quite technologically advanced, although studies indicate that technological advancement was initiated by interplanetary survey teams some two centuries ago.
They have a clan based society that is prone to division and infighting, loosely ruled by a king. In spite of this they place great value on reason, to the point where they feel a need to suppress anything that cannot be reasoned with. This includes machinery, sentients who cannot speak their language, and even the jungle itself.
